Welcome to my favorite room of the house—the kitchen! Today, I'm excited to share how I’ve adorned this special space with art that truly resonates with me. The kitchen is more than just a place to cook; it's where I pour love into preparing meals for my family and friends, using ingredients that I meticulously source from various stores or grow myself.
Imagine the joy of harvesting ripe tomatoes, fresh potatoes, and vibrant peppers from my pots. Picture the fragrant aroma of fresh herbs and lemons from my lemon tree. This is the backdrop for the art that brightens my kitchen.
In this post, I’m showcasing three pieces I made that perfectly capture the essence of my kitchen experience. First up is an oil painting of bread—a true staple in our household. This bread, in my artwork, carries a deeper meaning as it symbolizes the “daily bread” mentioned in prayer, representing sustenance and the daily blessings we receive. This painting finds a home next to my pizza peel, the trusty tool I use to slide bread and pizzas onto the hot stone in the oven.
Below, we have a colorful pencil drawing of desserts. This piece brings a touch of sweetness to my kitchen, symbolizing the joy and delight that desserts bring into our lives. Desserts represent the sweetness of our time together, especially in a space where we come together to cook, share, and savor our meals.
On another wall hangs an oil painting I created of the bread I make for church for the Holy Communion.
Every meal prepared, every bread baked, and every dessert enjoyed is a celebration of togetherness and the simple pleasures of home.
I hope this glimpse into my kitchen inspires you to find ways to infuse art and meaning into your own cherished spaces. Until next time, may your kitchen be filled with love, creativity, and delicious moments!
